CapCut cover is the wrong frame (2026)
Pick the frame you want as the cover.
Set the cover on a frame that shows the subject.
Preview the cover on a phone, not only the timeline.
Do not leave the first black frame as the cover.
Export a still before the full video.
Save that frame as the cover preset.
Change one variable at a time and confirm what actually helped.
If a company policy is involved, rule that out before chasing client settings.
Write the working steps into a short checklist for next time.
Export or screenshot a good setup so reinstalls are faster.
If it still flakes, retest on a clean network such as phone hotspot.
